Balesin Gladiator Run 2019 Race: We are CHAMPIONS!

Image
"When your legs get tired, run with your heart." And that's what I kept reminding myself when I joined the Balesin Gladiator Obstacle Run 2019. Plus, the fact that it's a team competition and my team was relying on me so I can't screw it up (though I think I did a bit LOL). The event was held on June 22, 2019, which happened to by our boyfriend/girlfriend anniversary. My husband and I joined with two friends and we treated this race as our anniversary celebration as well. I have dedicated a blog post on how we found out about the event and how we prepared as well as a separate blog post on our adventures the day before the actual race.

Balesin Gladiator Run 2019 Pre-Event: Bound to Balesin Island

The Balesin Island Club has got to be one of the best beach destinations I have been to here in my home country, the Philippines. I love beaches and going there was even more exciting for me since I was able to participate in the Gladiator Obstacle Run with my husband.  This specific post is dedicated to our travel and stay in Balesin the day before the Gladiator Obstacle Run. To have an overview on the event, how I found out about it and how we prepared for it, you may read my previous blog post .

"Couples that train together, remain together." I'd like to think that quote is true considering that my husband and I met through Dragon Boat Paddling. We've done a lot of fitness activities together including running, powerlifting, and CrossFit. I believe it's what glued us together and made us truly compatible. But ever since we've had our kids, working out especially together had been challenging... Let alone just going on a simple date, except when we try to escape during office hours for a quick lunch.

Singapore 2017: Traveling with a Young Toddler

"Don't just tell your children about the world. Show them." Traveling with a young toddler can be handful, especially if you're going abroad with just you and your spouse. Our Singapore trip brought a lot of first time experiences for us as I've shared on this post . We had to really think about the activities we wanted to do but at the same time, be prepared to go off track. Here are the things we did while in Singapore.

This is a freakingly outdated post. In fact, about 2 and a half years had already passed since this travel occurred but it's still worth sharing as we had a lot of firsts on this trip.

My Birth Story: The Second Time Around

My second pregnancy was unplanned. We were scared of it. I could still remember those pregnancy signs I started to encounter around December of 2017. We were not ready but we had to be.

Our Boracay vacation was my family's very first major travel. I have always believed that traveling is such an enriching experience that can help nurture and strengthen my relationship with my loved ones.
